Dublin, London, 10 November, 2009: Smurfit Kappa Group plc today announces that a whollyowned subsidiary intends to commence an offering of senior secured notes due 2017 on or about Wednesday, 11 November to non-US persons outside the United States pursuant to Regulation S and in the United States to qualified institutional buyers pursuant to Rule 144A under the US Securities Act of 1933. The net proceeds of the new notes will be used to repay a portion of the outstanding indebtedness under its senior credit facility.
